[I Can't Belive I Became Her]

I remember I told myself before we got married that I was never going to be [that wife] the one who wears the grey sweat pants, messy over sized t-shirts, unshaved legs and no makeup and hair pulled back in a ponytail. one day as I was dropping my husband off to work. You see normally I do not drop him off, he takes public transit because he enjoys a life without traffic stress. He is a simple, happy, positive man and lives life however suits him without stress.

As I dropped him off and kissed him goodbye, I glanced in my mirror ... As I realised my reflection ... I asked myself ... What Happened? Where did I go?

It was not ME looking back! I was in fact that doubty wife, in grey sweat pants, messy over sized t-shirts, unshaved legs and no makeup and hair pulled back in a ponytail.

I was extremely disappointed that I let myself become what I told myself I never wanted to be.

That night I asked my husband to be honest with me, he has ALWAYS been 100% honest even when I don't want him to be ... he is.

So I knew if I asked him he would tell me the truth. So I asked him:

"Have I changed?"
He said:
"yes, you have".
I asked him:
"how have I changed in your eyes?"
He said:
"well your not your bright, happy self as much"
I was like: "I know."
and then I asked him:
"how else have I changed .. you know have you noticed I put on allot of poundage"
He said:
"yes, but when we got married you were too skinny, you need to find a medium."
Then he said the most amazing words:
"I don't care what the scale says, I just want you to be happy and confident and healthy"
I hugged him and then said...
"I've got a pot-belly"
and he said:
"yeah you do".

I love the fact that I can be 100% honest with my husband, he's great and I love him!! We have been together for 11 years and will have been married 3 years this coming spring. From that conversation and realisation in the car I was ready to start my quest!!

[Body For Life]

So today I picked up the BFL book [Body For Life] at my local public library.
I'm READY to make the change. Become healthier and live a FULL BALANCED life. I'm sick and tired of swearing up and down that this will be the time for change. All I do is talk talk talk and NEVER fully commit to the work it takes. I've said it a thousand times, I was going to workout daily, eat right, and take care of myself, dress up more(do my nails, hair, take vitamins, tan and use special skin creams, etc) in order to get in ultimate shape/health and look my very best at all times. I'm not getting any younger you know!!

84 days and 12 full weeks to go. When I got married back in 2007 I weighed 106, very skinny and HOT. Really, I looked good, I felt confident and happy. But I was not toned and certainly NOT 100% healthy. I was horrible at eating and never worked out. I just counted calories and pretty much ate whatever I wanted. Fast forward almost 2 1/2 years later I'm at 140, OMG 106 to 140. I am unfit, depressed, flabby and a mushy mess.

[Insparation]

After reading many many random blogs and seeing some amazing transformations. Here are just a few that have inspired me thus far:

[Becca inspires me with her dedication and pure love for any challenge]I have always had a dream to compete on a fitness level. Like natural bodybuilding or bikini. But I always lacked the confidence and well ... the figure. I know I can do it, I just have to DO IT! Really anything I put my mind to I know I can do it. Like Becca did, she saw a dream and made it a reality. I think that's pretty amazing! And I think she's pretty amazing too. I also thinks it pretty cool she did it with a friend. That is so motivating and inspirational to me!!]

[Therese inspires me with her personal experiences from completing the BFL challenge. I love how funny her posts are and all the photos she posts on her blog. The food photos help me identify and understand portions. Oh yeah and her dogie is so darn cute as well as she is

[My mini disclaimer about my blog]
Hi all, if your reading this maybe you happened to randomly just come across my blog. Or maybe I follow you and you decide to check mine out. Whatever the reason, THANK YOU, because it means allot to have the support. I'm so new to blogging and I will be the first to say that I am a horrible speller and don't even get me started on my grammar. So puuurrrr-ty please don't judge. I will type my blog as if I'm writing in my personal journal. I hope you find inspiration and possibly a few laughs here. Oh and just a heads up ... sometimes I can be long winded with my words and then sometimes not so much.
